From Backyards and Basements to Bathrooms and Boudoirs
Most people are attempting to be aware of the carbon footprint of their personal space and homes, not to mention cars. I was recently introduced to a daily “green” newsletter.
From how to save money going green to green election issues, the site is an interesting blend of green tips. The get started section has a quiz to help you find out “what shade of green you want to be.”
There are questions about driving and buying cars, consideration of public transportation, your daily diet, your attitudes about global warming and whether or not to have a lawn.
Also included in the get started section are topics such as a 2008 candidate quiz, 10 easy tips for going green, best green food tips and what do recycling symbols on plastic mean?
You’ll also find current (daily) news items, blogs and feature articles. On September 22, features included When to Trust a “Green” Marketing Claim and Everything You Wanted to Know About Organiz Wine. Another feature is photos posted by readers of the aftermath of storms and objects in nature.
It’s worth spending a bit of time on this site to find new tips and advice about your home as well as ideas for making your cooking greener. Reading a few of the many blogs linked to this daily update is very entertaining as well as enlightening.
