Bob Kocher, MD, the former Special Assistant of Healthcare and Economic Policy to President Obama, will join a discussion about the health care debate on May 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Kocher not only helped shape the healthcare reform legislation in the Obama Administration, but was also one of the leaders of the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” childhood obesity initiative.
He is currently a partner at Venrock, one of the country’s leading venture capital firms that has made impressive advancements in cancer, anti-infective and auto-immune therapies. Lenny Mendonca, director of global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and founder of the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company will join the discussion about health reform, the imperative of deficit reduction, the Supreme Court and implications of the Presidential election.
