Celebrity Chef Martin Yan will be appearing at the 3rd Annual Artisan Food Fair Saturday, May 12th in the Courtyard of La Piazza in downtown Half Moon Bay.
Yan will present cooking tips, prepare a stir-fry and sign books. He is a television celebrity known for his long-running television show “Yan Can Cook” and is also the author of over thirty cookbooks, including award-winning Martin Yan’s Feast and Martin Yan’s China.
Master Pastry Chef Thomas Grauke and owner of Moonside Bakery will follow Chef Yan’s presentation. Grauke will prepare a butter frosting and demonstrate cake decorating techniques.
The event is sponsored by kitchenware store Toque Blanche, which has invited some of its favorite gourmet food producers to present and discuss their creations. All are regional artisans or importers of artisanal foods who will provide tastings of their specialties, including chocolates, lavender, vinegars, olive oils, coffees and much more.
