Camp Activities
Camp starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. To accommodate working schedules, children can stay 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for supervised ranch play. The teacher to child ratio at the Lazy “H” Pony Ranch is 1:5 and no prior riding experience is necessary.
Children are assigned their pony for the week followed by lessons on how to catch, groom and tack-up. They also learn how to muck out a stall, clean their saddles and bridles. Campers also work on an art project, western wind chimes, or painting horse molds. The days end with everyone feeding and watering all of the animals
