Friday, June 29 at 7 p.m. will be Mr. Deaver’s only SF Peninsula appearance on this tour.
Jeffery Deaver is the internationally acclaimed, award-winning author of numerous forensic and psychological thrillers, and the creator of Lincoln Rhyme, the quadriplegic forensics genius who has been the subject of nine novels so far, and who was immortalized by Denzel Washington in the movie version of Deaver’s The Bone Collector.
His new novel, XO, features Kathryn Dance, a northern California-based kinesics expert who debuted with Lincoln Rhyme in the pages of The Cold Moon just a few years ago and has since been featured in two of her own books. Ms. Dance’s unique training allows her to apply the science of her specialty to the art of observing and interviewing suspects and witnesses. Her talent for reading body language and her understanding of human nature and habits enable her to function surprisingly like a human lie detector.
Coffee and refreshments will be served. Mr. Deaver will speak briefly, then answer questions in a short Q&A session before he autographs books and meets his local fan.
