Mavericks: Everest of the Seas Exhibit in Half Moon Bay, Coastal Arts Gallery

The many moods of Maverick’s is returning for its third year. This world-famous big wave break just off Half Moon Bay will be the subject of a unique photography & art exhibit featuring the finest work of a group of local professional photographers & artists who have devoted their lives to capturing the decisive moments of action at the legendary surf spot.

A featured attraction will be a collection of beautifully crafted big wave guns. Ed Grant, Coastal Arts League member and Mavericks photographer, has assembled the most spectacular images from the cutting-edge photojournalists who risk life and limb to document the wave’s intense man-against-the-sea drama and obsessive lifestyle of Maverick’s elite riders.

New to this years show: The Maverick’s of the Sea Exhibit will accept entries from the public of your big wave artwork or images to be included in this year’s show. No entry fee. Please bring your entries to the Coastal Arts League on February 2 and 3 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
