peat-fire flame

Music at the Meadows will feature the music of The Peat-Fire Flame with violinist Colyn Fischer and pianist Shauna Pickett-Gordon on Friday, June 22. Peat-Fire Flame are a favorite at these acoustic music concerts, and they always bring excellent music and marvelous energy. They perform Celtic music like you have never heard it before. One of my favorite quotes about them is “They instantly weave a spell that takes you out of this world.” Sample their music at http://coastsidevideo.com/sites/Colyn-Shauna/. (more…)

San Mateo County Summer Camps

Shely Pack Dancers learn how to combine theater and dance in a scene from West Side Story. Photo: Dyane Hendricks.

Summer camp season is coming up before you know it!

We are planning our March issue around “kids and camps” and wonder where your children have had great experiences. We are building a resource list to publish in the March issue and would love feedback from our readers.

Have you found a horse camp that was the perfect place for your young equestrian? Or perhaps your children are really interested in sports and you found a great camp for them .

Last year we published an article about art camps (San Mateo County Day Camping for Art) but thought that we would create a resource listing for parents to check out themselves.

Please send an email or respond to this post by February 1, 2011.

We appreciate your help.
