Music at the Meadows will feature the music of The Peat-Fire Flame with violinist Colyn Fischer and pianist Shauna Pickett-Gordon on Friday, June 22. Peat-Fire Flame are a favorite at these acoustic music concerts, and they always bring excellent music and marvelous energy. They perform Celtic music like you have never heard it before. The American Cancer Society says “Cancer never sleeps.” That’s why the battle against cancer will be fought in around-the-clock events. In Pacifica, the relay will take place on July 14 and 15, 2012 at Terra Nova High School. Relay For Life in Half Moon Bay teams will gather on August 11 and 12 at Hatch Elementary School. (more…)

Coastside women interested in government have an opportunity to attend a free workshop on becoming involved in the community by applying for and getting appointed to a local board or commission. The workshop date is September 10, 2011 from 9 to 11 a.m. and will be held at Seton Medical Center Coastside in Montara on the San Mateo County coast.
