Large companies use Twitter to monitor customer complaints. What a great opportunity to be proactive in solving customers’ problems and addressing their complaints. Many businesses now put links to their Twitter accounts on their Web sites. Why not use Twitter to ask your customers how you are doing in their eyes? You can get immediate feedback in a way that customers are becoming increasingly comfortable with, whereas face to face they may be a little less comfortable if they have a complaint.

Give a short “sound byte” for the subject matter of the post you’d like people to see and use TinyURL or bit.ly to condense your URL within your tweet.
